Nick Gotsis, Clinical Psychologist

Nick Gotsis, Clinical Psychologist and founder of Men's Life Psychology, Surry Hills

Nick Gotsis is a Clinical Psychologist based in Surry Hills, Sydney, providing evidence-based psychological services focused on men's mental health and professional wellbeing.

Nick founded Men's Life Psychology from a personal and professional commitment to changing how men experience mental health care. Having seen first hand the consequences of stigma and silence, he built the clinic around a simple belief: that every man deserves access to support that genuinely engages, motivates, and connects with him, in a space where he feels truly understood and supported toward meaningful change.

Nick's approach is compassionate and solution-focused, helping clients build self-awareness, strengthen resilience and take meaningful steps toward a more fulfilling life. Clinically, he works with adults and adolescents aged 16 and over navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, addiction (substance and behavioural) and relationship difficulties. He also supports clients through burnout, grief and loss, sexual health and intimacy concerns, parenthood, the psychological impact of cancer diagnosis and treatment, and gay, bi and queer-related experiences and identity.

His approach is integrative and individualised, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Nick's path to clinical psychology is shaped by over 20 years of international corporate experience across the public and private sectors. Before becoming a psychologist, he held executive and C-suite HR positions in Australia and overseas, working alongside leadership teams, boards, and organisations such as Cotality, ING Bank, IKEA, and various government agencies. That direct exposure to high-pressure environments informs his work with clients facing burnout, occupational trauma, leadership challenges and complex career transitions. He is also a certified Executive and Leadership Coach and Workplace Trainer.
