Nick Gotsis, Clinical Psychologist and founder of Men's Life Psychology in Sydney, providing support for men's mental health

About Nick

Nick Gotsis is a Clinical Psychologist providing evidence-based psychological services, with a focus on men's mental health, executive performance, and professional wellbeing. Known for his genuine, compassionate, and solution-focused approach, Nick works collaboratively with clients to build self-awareness, strengthen resilience, and take meaningful steps toward a more fulfilling life in a safe, non-judgmental space.

Nick's dedication to men's mental health grew from years of experience in both professional and his own personal experiences, where he witnessed first-hand the significant and systemic stigma preventing men from seeking timely support. Recognising a need for focused, evidence-based care, he committed to building expert services and programs that address the unique challenges men face, reducing barriers, dismantling stigma, and creating genuine pathways to support that truly serves them.

At the heart of his approach is a drive to question limiting, traditional ideas of masculinity. Working closely with clients, Nick helps clients move beyond rigid expectations and define what strength, vulnerability, and personal fulfilment mean on their own terms.

Clinically, Nick works with adults and adolescents (16+) navigating a wide range of challenges, some of which include depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, addiction, and relationship difficulties. He also supports clients through burnout, grief and loss, sexual health and intimacy concerns, parenthood, psycho-oncology, and gay, bi, and queer-related experiences and identity.

His approach is integrative and individualised, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Nick's path to clinical psychology is shaped by over 20 years of international corporate experience across the public and private sectors. Before retraining in the field, he led human resources teams and held senior leadership and C-suite roles in Australia and overseas, collaborating with executive teams, boards, and global organisations including Cotality, ING Bank, IKEA, and various government bodies. This direct exposure to high-pressure environments gives him deep insight into workplace dynamics and psychosocial hazards, enabling him to expertly support clients facing burnout, occupational trauma, leadership challenges, and complex career transitions. He is also a certified Executive and Leadership Coach and Workplace Trainer.

At Men's Life Psychology, the vision is simple: every man deserves to feel understood, supported, and guided toward meaningful change, and Nick is committed to helping men making that possible.
